Complementing and completing the adjacent Four Oaks Place, owned by TIAA-CREF and designed by Cesar Pelli & Associates, 1500 Post Oak Boulevard creates a new focal point for the development and defines a fresh southern edge along the complex’s central garden. The office tower welcomes visitors with a spacious, naturally lit lobby and bridge connection to BHP’s existing building. At night, the prismatic crown atop the building reveals the building’s presence in the Houston skyline.
Quentin Thomas Associates design all areas of the base building public areas, exterior landscape site building accent lighting as well as single tenant interior fit out for the project. The 30 floors of Tenant space include open plan work areas and extensive amenity spaces with Cafeteria Dining, Business Center, Auditorium, Conference Center and Outdoor Dining Terrace.
Seven levels of parking serve the building’s Class-A office space. The efficient floor plates conserve resources and lend themselves to convenient planning and office space management by tenants. One particularly innovative feature are the glass curtain wall clads of the tower. Articulated by a delicate screen of sunshades, they reduce heat gain from the Texas sun, while bringing a more intimate scale to the building.
The tower design includes numerous sustainable features, and achieved LEED-CS Gold certification.
